Semidormant is a vast collection of somnolent musical textures and unique sonic artefacts created as an alternative to commercial production music.  Nothing is polished to a high commercial sheen, it remains rough hewn, moody, atmospheric and strange.  It is a functional sound-resource for projects that need something a little different, or just need a creative shot to the arm.  The collection was created over years of experimenting, forgotten sketches on long lost hard drives, newly discovered. 

The website is constructed with creatives in mind - filmmakers, collaborators, content creators & dreamers from any arts discipline. the music styles range dramatically from deep rumbling drones, glitchy landscapes, haunting textures - always with a darkly hypnotic edge.

Each track title is a single line from a poem written by Isabel Waiti-Mulholland.  You can have the poem read to you by an avatar on the website as you browse the sounds.
